Rain Forest Coral Necklace

red-line.gif

This outstanding piece is called rain forest coral because of it luscious pattern of light celadon to mossy greens to rich brown. Small sterling daisy spacers protect eacj bead and the ends are finished with a sturdy sterling trigger clasp. Heads will turn when you wear this unusual piece. Guaranteed!

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The necklace is 19 inches long.

Note: Coral is the vacated home of a marine animal and grows in branchlike formations. It is most frequently red, but also can be found in pink, white, green, black and blue. Black coral is an endangered species and should not be bought. (Much of the red coral is dyed which is an acceptable gemstone practice.)

The market for coral in the United States is thriving, however, stockpiled inventory and new sources are diminishing as underwater supplies are depleted. Currently there is an adequate supply to meet the demand, but this will not always be so. Red coral is becoming scarce, and prices are rising.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
