Impression Jasper Pendant

red-line.gif

Impression jasper is only one of the names for this gorgeous blue-green stone that resembles serpentine or sea and sand. This particular stone is a heart shape with a myriad of blues, teal, pale turquoises and tan--even a bit of darkest blue or black with a pale grey-blue matrix. The stone is a bead and I've concealed the bead hole with a decorative topper. I hope you like it. I've border wrapped this gem in sterling silver. Add a snake chain and you're ready for any occasion. These heart-shaped pendants are popular as is impression jasper; I have a hard time keeping it in stock. Grab yours today.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant measures 2 1/2" from top of bail and is 1 1/2" wide.

Note: Previously labeled variscite, this stone has proven to be somewhat of a mystery. We know that it is a natural jasper-like material, but no one in the market knows what to call it yet. Impression Jasper has become the accepted trade name, but the scientific name has yet to be identified. This stone has become very popular in the market for its beautiful green/blue color and sandy matrix pattern. It also may be found listed as Blue Sea Sediment stone or Aqua Terra Jasper.

Jasper was a favorite gem in ancient times and is referenced in Hebrew, Assyrian and Latin literature. It is a massive, fine-grained chalcedony and comes in all colors. The name jasper comes from the Greek and means "spotted stone."

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
