Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Morgan Hill Poppy Jasper

I bought this stone because the material is found locally. This petite stone was cut by an artist in Utah. Isn't it beautiful? Poppy is one of the more colorful jaspers. I've border-wrapped this stone in 21 gauge sterling wire and added my signature topper. A sturdy hidden bail will accommodate most chains. Enjoy!

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant is 1 1/2" from bottom of stone to top of bail and is 5/8" wide.

Note: Jasper was a favorite gem in ancient times and is referenced in Hebrew, Assyrian and Latin literature. It is a massive, fine-grained chalcedony and comes in all colors. The name jasper comes from the Greek and means "spotted stone." Morgan Hill poppy jasper comes, of course, from the locality of Morgan Hill, about thirty miles from my house.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
