Coprolite Designer Cab Pendant

Coprolite is the scientific name for dinosaur poop! Of course no animal material remains in this lovely stone; it has been replaced with agate. A showy piece, this stone has a coloring that ranges from white to grey to black with splashes of tan and red. I've border-wrapped it in 20 ga. sterling silver and added a swirl at the top. There's a lot of silver in this beauty.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant measures 1 7/8" from top of bail and is 1 1/2" wide.

Note: Coprolite comes from the Greek: Copro means "dung," from the Greek word kopros. The ending "-lite" is a common ending for fossil or mineral terms, coming from the Greek word lithos, which means stone. The term coprolite was coined around 1830 (when the earliest-known specimens were found).

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
