Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Charoite Cabochon Pendant

This freeform charoite cabochon shows a feathery range of lavenders and purples with splashes of white and taupe. The stone is quite chatoyant with a beautiful polish. I've border-wrapped it in 21 gauge sterling silver wire with sweeping curls across the top.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant measures 2 1/8" from top of bail and is 1 1/8" wide.

Note: Charoite is found in Russia and is named after the nearby Charo River. First discovered in 1947, the stone was not known in the West until 1978. It's an unsual mineral and of rare occurence, formed from alteration of limestones by the close presences of an alkali-rich nephline syenite intrusion.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
