Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Freeform Unknown Cabochon Pendant

This stunning gemstone has many of the characteristics of turquoise and came from a turquoise mine in China's Hubei province. However, it is not possible to identify it as turquoise. The stone has a high luster and a lovely blue-grey-teal pattern mixed with splashes of ivory and chestnut. It's so gorgeous that little embellishment is needed, so I've done a simple border wrap in sterling silver with a swirled loop around the shank.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant is 2" high and 7/8" wide.

Note: Turquoise was one of the first gemstones to be mined and has always been prized for its intense color which ranges from sky blue through every shade of green and brown. This particular stone comes from China’s Hubei province. In ancient time turquoise was thought to warn the wearer of danger or illness by changing color. It is considered one of the crystal healing master stones with special powers in healing respiratory and immune system ailments.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
