Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Shattuckite/Chrysocolla/Ajoite Designer Cab

Often similar to turquoise in appearance, chrysocolla usually occurs as a bright green or bluish crust or as compact grapelike groups in copper mining areas, particularly Chile, the former USSR and Zaire. This particular Shattuckite/Chrysocolla/Ajoite specimen comes from Southeastern Arizona. It is considerably more beautiful than the photo with browns, vivid blue, greens and gold, and is quite rare. I've wrapped it in 21 ga. sterling silver with my signature crown of curls and swirls. Enjoy!

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

This pendant measures 2 1/2" from top of bail and is 1 1/3" wide.

Note: Chrysocolla is a copper bearing mineral found wherever copper deposits occur especially in areas of the southwestern USA, Chili, Zaire, Australia, France and England. Shattuckite is found near the copper mines of Bisbee, AZ, while Ajoite is located in Pima County. The combination is very beautiful and said the be extremely healing.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
