Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Thulite with Yellow Designer Cab

Thulite (sometimes called rosaline) is an opaque, massive pink manganese rich variety of the mineral zoisite. This particular stone is mostly pink with just a few splashes of yellow along with a bit of black matrix. The flat top is highly polished, however, what makes the piece so interesting is its perky heart shape. What a teriffic Valentine's Day gift this would make. I've border-wrapped it in 21 gauge sterling silver wire with double swirls and a dash of extra wire detail on the top of the stone.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant measures 2 1/8" from bottom of stone to top of bail and is 1 3/8" wide.

Note: Thulite is often mottled with white calcite. It was first discovered in Lom, Norway in 1820 and is named after the mythical island of Thule in the belief that the island is Norway. Thulite is used as a gemstone and carving material in the manufacture of jewelry and ornamental objects.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
