Brazilian Agate Designer Pendant

This colorful beauty is a brazilian Agate. Warm caramel bands spread over the right side of this milk-and-honey-colored stone, creating a fascinating array of color. The cab is flat on top with a bezel cut in a modified kite shape. I've I've border wrapped it in 21ga sterling silver wire and finished the piece with a double swirl and tiny "claws." This would make a lovely Valentine's Day gift for that special someone. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind piece of wearable art. A sturdy hidden bail will accommodate most chains.

Treat someone special to this gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant measures 2 7/8" from top of bail and is 1 1/2" wide.

Note: Agate is a form of chalcedony, often banded, that comes in an amazing variety of colors. It forms by filling a cavity in a host rock. Although agate is found all over the world, the most exceptional specimens come from Southern Brazil and Northern Uruguay. Brazilian agate is mined from eroded lava beds in the Brazil plateaus. This agate displays a rainbow of colors primarily derived from iron. The colors are usually reds, browns end yellows in multi-layered bands and plumes. Intricate whorls and eye patterns also identify this gemstone. Agates have long been thought to cure everything from emotional pain to insomnia.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
