Shattuckite/Chrysocolla/Cuprite Designer Cab

Often similar to turquoise in appearance, chrysocolla usually occurs as a bright green or bluish crust or as compact grapelike groups in copper mining areas, particularly Chile, the former USSR and Zaire. This particular Shattuckite/Chrysocolla/Cuprite specimen comes from Southeastern Arizona and was cut and polished in Michigan. It features shades of blue and turquoise with splashes of red and a brown-black background matrix. Shattuckite is quite rare and this is a fine specimen. I've border-wrapped it using six strands of sterling silver square wire and added a double swirl topper with tiny "claws" wrapping over one shoulder. A sturdy bail will accommodate most chains, however, this pendant comes with an adjustable brown leather cord necklace with sterling end caps, extension chain and a trigger clasp. Enjoy!

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

This pendant measures 2 1/4" from top of bail and is slightly over 3/4" wide.

Note: Chrysocolla is a copper bearing mineral found wherever copper deposits occur especially in areas of the southwestern USA, Chili, Zaire, Australia, France and England. Shattuckite was originally discovered in 1915 at the Shattuck Mine outside Bisbee, AZ, while Cuprite is located in Pima County. The combination is very beautiful and said to be extremely healing.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
