Belle Rustique

hand-crafted jewelry from beautiful Bonny Doon

Designer Ocean Jasper Pendant

This lovely stone has a pattern unlike any of the ocean jaspers I've seen. In fact, it more resembles an agate. However, the coloring of greens, white, gold and orangey-red is eye-catching just the same. I've border wrapped it in 21 gauge square sterling wire with my signature topper.

Treat someone special to this one-of-a-kind gift or buy it for yourself.

The pendant with topper measures 2 1/4" from top of bail and is 1" wide.

Note: Ocean jasper has an interesting history. Ocean jasper from Madagascar is a relatively new material to appear on the market though its original discovery occured in 1922. Ocean jasper's distinctive orbicular patterns are made up of round or spherical inclusions of contrasting colors floating in solid jasper. The orbs can range in diameter from a millimeter to a centimeter, and frequently show a particularly dramatic concentric banding. How this jasper forms is still a scientific mystery. One thing certain, however, is that good ocean jasper is getting extremely scarce. Get yours while it's still available.

Enjoy this unique piece of hand-crafted jewelry.
